Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled Traveling Ekahau Engineer with hands-on experience in wireless network design and analysis. The ideal candidate will utilize the latest Ekahau tool (with an active and updated license) to conduct wireless site surveys, create heat maps, and optimize wireless performance in various hotel environments. This role requires proficiency in cabling, installing access points, and certifying network installations, with a commitment to delivering high-quality service to our clients. Key Responsibilities: Post-Installation Validation Surveys: Perform surveys to confirm that client-provided predictive estimates match actual wireless performance, adjusting access point positioning to meet client minimum network performance requirements (e.g., -65dB or better). Wireless Site Surveys: Conduct comprehensive wireless site surveys using Ekahau software to design and optimize wireless networks within hotel properties. Heat Map Creation & Analysis: Create and analyze wireless heat maps to determine optimal access point placement and ensure extensive coverage throughout the facilities. Cabling Installation Management: Run and manage low voltage cabling installations to support wireless network infrastructures. Access Point Installation & Configuration: Install and configure wireless access points (APs) based on survey results and design specifications. Troubleshooting & Performance Resolution: Troubleshoot and resolve wireless performance issues effectively, ensuring high-quality service and network reliability. Requirements: Proficiency with Ekahau: Must have experience with the latest Ekahau tool and possess a valid license. Structured Cabling & AP Installation Experience: Proven experience in running structured cabling and installing wireless access points. Wireless Networking Knowledge: Strong understanding of wireless networking concepts and best practices. Troubleshooting Skills: Ability to troubleshoot and optimize wireless networks based on survey results. Preferred Qualifications: 3 years of experience in wireless network engineering and site surveys. Familiarity with hotel networking environments and customer service principles. Travel Requirements: Willingness to travel 3 weeks per month for 5-7 days each (all expenses paid)
