FTE 1 Scheduled Bi-Weekly Hours 80 Work Shift All Shifts: 8 hours Job Description Job Description Design and implement wireless network solutions, including WLANs, LANs, and WANs. Leading project teams/vendors with device deployments and clinical application rollouts/upgrades Developing and maintaining documentation of as built & planned changes. Perform site surveys and RF analysis to ensure optimal coverage and capacity. Configure, deploy, and maintain wireless access points, controllers, and related hardware. Troubleshoot application performance, connectivity, security w/ vendors and manufacturers and resolve wireless network issues, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency. Conduct regular performance assessments and optimization of wireless networks. Develop and document standard operating procedures and policies for wireless network management. Collaborate with IT and security teams to ensure network security and compliance with industry standards. Stay current with new wireless networking technologies and advancements. Provide technical support and training to other IT staff. Assist in planning and implementing network upgrades and expansions. Estimated Percent of time local 50% Support change activities that occur outside of normal business hours, may involve on call rotation Manage Two Primary Campus Locations (Hospitals) and 16 Remote Locations (Clinics) in the South Bay (SF Bay Area) - local day travel Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience. 3 years' experience supporting & maintaining wireless networks in enterprise deployments. 5 years hand-on experience with switching and routing in enterprise deployments. Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing wireless networks. Strong knowledge of wireless networking standards and protocols (Wi-Fi 6, 802.11ac, 802.11n, BLE , etc.). Proficiency with wireless networking hardware (Cisco [excluding Meraki], Mist, Aruba, etc.). Experience with RF site surveys and tools (Ekahau, Air Magnet, Omnipeek, etc.). Solid understanding of network security principles and best practices. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Wireless Network Monitoring and troubleshooting. Cisco Prime experience. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with advanced wireless technologies (IoT, RTLS, mesh networks, etc.). Familiarity with scripting and automation tools (Python, Ansible, etc.). Knowledge of network management and monitoring tools (SNMP, NetFlow, Solar Winds, etc.). Proven experience in enterprise-level network environments. DNAC / Cisco Catalyst Center. License/Certification/Registration Requirements Relevant certifications such as CWNA, CWNP, or Cisco CCNA Wireless / Switching Salary Range: $58.29 - $87.44 USD Hourly The Physical Requirements and Working Conditions of this job are available.
