Chicago, IL Direct Hire Salary Range : $140,000 - $160,000 SAP SD Lead Reports to: IT Director - ERP Work Location: Chicago, hybrid Job Purpose: The lead for SAP Sales & Distribution/Logistics will be pivotal in directing the design, configuration, implementation, and maintenance of the SAP SD module within the SAP S4 HANA platform, aligning closely with the organization's strategic objectives. This role serves as an expert in validating business requirements across Order to Cash processes (Sales Contracting, Pricing, Sales Order Management, Customer Master, Logistics, Billing) and recommending process standardization and efficiencies. The organization is undergoing an SAP business transformation, and this role will oversee the successful delivery and adoption of SAP Order To Cash processes while leveraging best practices within S4 HANA. Additionally, building strong partnerships with Sales Contracting, Pricing & Customer Service stakeholders is imperative to realize the intended value proposition of the SAP S4 HANA platform and achieve organizational transformation goals. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Lead the design, development, testing, and implementation of SAP SD solutions, adhering to best practices and industry standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze business requirements and translate them into SAP Order To Cash solutions. Customize and configure SAP S/4HANA SD/LE modules to meet business requirements while ensuring optimal system performance for Sales contracting, Order Management, Pricing, and Logistics processes. Document business requirements, functional specifications, and technical designs, and develop comprehensive test cases to ensure process integrity. Provide functional support for SAP Order To Cash functions, including Sales Contracting, Order Management, Billing, Returns, Shipping, Output/Forms, Credit Memo, Debit Memo, and Logistics processes. Conduct Functional testing, System Integration testing, and Regression testing to ensure system setup meets expectations without errors. Provide end-to-end support for SAP S/4HANA Order To Cash applications, including troubleshooting, issue resolution, and regular system maintenance. Performance Expectations: Ensure alignment with the SAP S/4 HANA template and facilitate effective communication with business stakeholders to design, build, and support Sales Contracting, Pricing & Customer Service solutions within the S4 HANA platform. Work closely with business stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery of SAP Order to Cash solutions throughout the SAP S4 HANA project phases. Draft design documents and functional specifications for SAP Order to Cash, ensuring alignment with business needs and efficient development. Customize and configure SAP SD, LE modules to meet specific business needs and optimize functionality within the SAP S4 HANA environment. Foster strong relationships with finance business stakeholders and collaborate with business partners to ensure alignment and adoption of the SAP S4 HANA template. Provide inputs to the technical development team for RICEFW, Data Migration, manage Cutover activities, Testing, and End User Training. Ensure business requirements are translated into detailed functional specifications, including cross-functional impacts, associated risks, business justification, and audit guidelines. Perform necessary SAP SD/LE configurations, write detailed specifications for development of custom programs, coordinate transports to production, and provide post go-live support. Ability to engage with business stakeholders, understand business processes, and effectively communicate SAP solutions in business language. Skills and Work Experience Requirements: 10 years of experience in SAP Sales & Distribution with robust business process knowledge in Order To Cash and Logistics processes within the manufacturing industry. 1-2 full life cycle implementation experiences in S/4 HANA 1909 and 3 previous full implementation projects experience in SAP ECC, encompassing blueprint design, implementation, customization, configuration, and post Go Live support of SAP SD modules. In-depth and hands-on knowledge of SAP Pricing, Customer and Product Hierarchy, Master Data Management, and S/4HANA OTC process. Experience with SAP SD configuration of Sales Documents, Pricing, Sales Contract & Order Management, Billing, Invoicing, and SAP LE process. Strong exposure to SAP SD integration with other modules/processes, including Finance & Controlling (FI/CO), Materials Management (MM), and Production Planning (PP). Expertise in data conversion from legacy systems to SAP, including Customer Master, Sales Contracts, and Sales Orders. Experience with SAP SD enterprise organizational structure and master data, S/4 HANA Business Partner master data setup and conversion. Familiarity with SAP Fiori/UI5 is preferred. S/4HANA SD certification will be an added advantage. Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
