We pride ourselves on our people and excellent project results. Due to growth, we are seeking an experienced Safety Director to come in and establish an in-house safety program for our company. The Safety Director will be responsible for creating and running the safety program. All of our work is Chicagoland area based and there is no travel associated with the position. Are you passionate about ensuring safety at construction sites? Do you have a keen eye for identifying potential hazards and implementing effective safety measures? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you to showcase your skills and make a significant impact. We are seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented, and experienced Safety Manager to join our dynamic team. The selected candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment in accordance with OSHA regulations and our company's health and safety standards. Responsibilities: As an Safety Manager your primary duty will be to ensure the safety and health of all employees, contractors, and visitors at our construction site. Key responsibilities include: 1. Conducting regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations. 2. Developing, implementing, and maintaining the Project Safety Plan. 3. Providing safety training and awareness programs to all site personnel. 4. Investigating incidents and accidents to identify their causes and find ways to prevent them in the future. 5. Ensuring all safety equipment is in good working order and readily available. 6. Maintaining accurate records of all safety-related activities and incidents. 7. Liaising with regulatory bodies such as OSHA and keeping abreast of new safety regulations and standards. 8. Implementing emergency procedures and conducting drills as necessary. 9. Promoting a positive safety culture within the organization. Qualifications: The ideal candidate for the Safety Manager position should possess the following qualifications: 1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Safety Manager in the construction industry. 2. Be located in the Chicagoland area 3. Experience in a safety role within a construction company
