The Millwork Shop Manager will have full oversight of company's millwork operations. All of our work is Chicagoland area based and there is no travel associated with the position. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our millwork division, including design, fabrication, installation, and project management. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and talented individual to lead and grow a team within a highly respected company in the construction industry. Responsibilities:As the Millwork Division Director, your key responsibilities will include:1. Overseeing all operations within the millwork division, including design, fabrication, installation, and project management.2. Developing and implementing strategic plans to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency of the millwork division.3. Managing and mentoring a team of millwork professionals, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.4. Coordinating with other division directors and project managers to ensure project deadlines are met and client expectations are exceeded.5. Conducting regular performance reviews and providing constructive feedback to team members.6. Ensuring all millwork projects comply with safety standards and regulations.7. Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders in the construction industry.8. Staying current on industry trends and technologies to ensure the millwork division remains competitive.9. Managing budgets and ensuring cost-effectiveness in all millwork projects.Qualifications:To be considered for the Millwork Division Director position, you must have:1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction industry, with a focus on commercial millwork.2. Proven experience in managing and leading a team.3. Exceptional knowledge of millwork design, fabrication, and installation processes.4. Excellent project management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously and meet strict deadlines.5. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and team members.6. A solid understanding of safety regulations and industry standards in the construction industry.7. The ability to think strategically and implement plans to improve the productivity, quality, and efficiency of a division.8. Proficiency in relevant software, such as CAD and project management tools.9. A degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
