In this role, you will shape and execute market sector strategies, identifying key opportunities that align with our objectives. By researching industry trends and identifying new business prospects, you will position the company effectively ahead of RFQ/RFP releases. Collaboration with the Federal Capture Manager will be vital to ensuring the success of the market sector.This role can be remote but we highly prefer the person being on ET or CT time zone. Identify and pursue new business opportunities with a focus on the federal/government market sector. Stay informed on overall business trends, including the federal market's current climate, and explore cross-marketing opportunities. Develop both short-term and long-term business plans that align with the firm’s overall growth strategy and objectives. Collaborate with management and technical teams on targeted marketing initiatives, identifying project opportunities, and leading pursuit efforts. Review and analyze RFQs and RFPs to determine compliance requirements, guiding Go/No Go decisions for the team. Work closely with the Federal Capture Manager and Marketing team to coordinate planning and kick-off meetings. Lead proposal strategy development, including win-theme strategy for SF330 content, and engage the team throughout the proposal process. Conduct quality control (QC) reviews before proposal submissions. Use the Client Relationship Management (CRM) system to document and share business development activities. Align pursuit and capture activities with quarterly business development metrics for awards, SF330 submissions, and pipeline management. Lead internal proposal debriefs with the Federal Capture Manager to document lessons learned and refine capture strategies. Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, design, business, or a related field. 12+ years of proven experience in business development within the AEC industry, including managing or contributing to SF330 Federal proposal production. Strong ability to present at conferences and author white papers. Demonstrated success in business development, sales, fee proposals, and building strong client relationships, with a track record of delivering complex federal projects. Experience serving as a Project Manager or Client Leader. Experience working with federal clients such as DoD, USACE, and NAVFAC. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and emotional intelligence skills. Strong client service orientation, attention to detail, multitasking, and organizational abilities.
