We are looking for a dynamic and dedicated Permanent Starts/Permitting Coordinator to join our team. This role is integral to our operations, ensuring all construction projects are initiated with the necessary permits and start orders, and that all associated tasks are completed accurately and on time. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and managing all aspects of starts and permitting for new home construction, from processing invoices to managing purchase orders. This is a fast-paced role that requires strong communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and a thorough understanding of the construction industry.Responsibilities:1. Coordinate and manage all aspects of starts and permitting for new home construction.2. Process invoices and manage purchase orders to ensure all financial aspects of the projects are handled efficiently.3. Work closely with the sales team to ensure accurate pricing and cost requests are made.4. Utilize construction software like Build Pro, New Star, Brix, and JD Edwards for project management, tracking, and reporting.5. Conduct takeoffs and create fence diagrams as part of the project planning process.6. Review and understand master plans and ensure all construction projects align with these plans.7. Liaise with local authorities and other stakeholders to secure necessary permits for construction.8. Track and report on the status of permits and start orders, ensuring all team members are kept up-to-date.9. Participate in project meetings, providing updates and insights on starts and permitting.Qualifications:1. A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within the construction industry.2. Proven experience with processing invoices, managing purchase orders, and handling other financial aspects of construction projects.3. Familiarity with new home construction and the home building industry.4. Proficiency in construction software like Build Pro, Brix, and JD Edwards.5. Solid understanding of construction plans and the ability to conduct takeoffs and create fence diagrams.6. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise with a variety of stakeholders.7. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.8. Knowledge of local construction permitting processes and regulations.9.
