WHAT IS THE ROLE?

The Continuous Improvement Manager will report to the Plant Director and will be responsible for leading and managing the dynamics of the most complex cross-functional process improvement projects and business-wide improvement initiatives.

This position will:

  • Identify, suggest and implement best practices to facilitate best solutions and methods that will optimize processes in all areas of the business.
  • Work with main clients and project and business leaders to identify the gap between current and desired results.
  • Analyze current processes, design and implement improvements to ensure production processes and rates are met and can scale
  • Leadcross-functional teams to project completion and project implementation.
  • Employ Six Sigma or a related methodology and analytics into organizational operations in order to accomplish business objectives.
  • Work with Senior level management to integrate the Six Sigma or a related approach into the company's business strategy.
  • Projects often include business suppliers and customers to fully integrate the Six Sigma methodology into the entire product value stream.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?

The successful candidate will have the following:

  • Requires a bachelor's degree.
  • Requires at least 10 years related experience.
  • Six Sigma Master Black Belt or equivalent is required.
  • Must have expertise with a broad toolbox of statistical skills for modeling and prediction.
  • Requires broad understanding of process best practices, barriers to implementation and the highest level of problem solving ability.
  • Demonstrates strong financial acumen and understanding of the value chain.
  • Requires very strong data and business information skills including Excel, Access, SQL database and related skills.
  • Must have excellent customer service and relational skills.
  • Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to lead and motivate complex cross-functional project teams.
  • Ability to engage hourly and salaried workforce in process improvement initiatives
