Job Description:Computer Analyst II
The function and purpose is to support network-connected servers, custom application databases, individual computers, including 30+ admin users, email, and 100+ computers on the fitness floor, 2 smart classrooms, coordinates network security, user training and related documentation, coordinates development and maintenance of custom applications, provides user support to admin staff and all fitness equipment clients. This position reports to the Assistant Director of Technology and Communications.
Job Responsibilities:
60% Administrative Support:
Support UREC's network-connected devices (100+ pieces of fitness equipment, 30+ administrative computers, 2 smart classrooms, physical and virtual servers, marketing suite, iris scanners, point of sale computers including credit card and tiger cash interface; Adhere to a $300,000+ technology budget used to upgrade and maintain the network-connected systems. Provide technical assistance in maintaining software for automation of UREC's processes: program registration, faculty/staff membership purchases and court reservations; Serve as the secondary point of contact with Innosoft Fusion (rec management software), SubItUp (time & attendance and scheduling software), Screencloud (digital signage management software), FusionWAVE (digital signage management software), FusionPLAY (intramural leagues scheduling software). Coordinate operation/maintenance of UREC networks using the campus-wide backbone; Implement, maintain, and support hardware/software for physical and virtual servers; Provide user support and training service for staff at all levels by providing technical information and assistance on a wide range of IT related issues; Maintain user manuals and other technical documentation.
30% Quality Control:
Serves as tertiary liaison with various areas within the Office of Technology Services (ITS); Coordinate and monitor data exchange between departmental servers and other campus computers; Serve as security officer for the networks, manage user login ids and passwords, monitor usage, and detect and investigate improper use; Serve as tertiary Restricted Security Officer (RSO) for departmental users in university enterprise system, network administration, and user support; This includes the Office of Telecommunications on issues relating to Microsoft Teams services, data circuits, wireless technologies and Information Technology Support (ITS) on issues relating to Computing Services support of our operations and projects to integrate the ITS help desk systems with UREC operations.
10% Other Duties as Assigned:
Other duties as assigned by UREC leadership or Assistant Director. This includes but is not limited to efforts that support broad division/institution efforts including at least 40 hours per year spent helping divisional initiatives such as Move-In Day, Welcome Week, Family Weekend, Career Expo, Disability Services Finals Testing, other special projects, etc.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with 1 year of related experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Preferred Certifications:
CompTIA A+ Certification

Must be able to walk up 4 flights of stairs while carrying technology equipment including but not limited to computers, servers, printers, etc.
