Job Description:

This position will support and optimize Louisiana State University's Terra Dotta software used for study abroad. This software is utilized across campus to manage participants on study abroad programs before, during and after their time abroad. This position will work closely with staff members in Academic Programs Abroad to provide support for the software and to optimize the software to best fit user needs and business processes, helping ensure that the software is both useful to and usable for study abroad students served each year.

Job Responsibilities:Develop a deep understanding of user needs in relation to software capabilities and functionality.Develop a high level of knowledge and expertise in the designated software application.Execute the development and maintenance of queries, query watches, and standard protocols to streamline the effectiveness of the software data.Assist with application cycle launches to ensure timely rollout of applicationsMonitor applications according to established APA protocols to safeguard classified, private and other sensitive data.Develop in coordination with APA leadership and implement a road map for new features, improving the applicant and administrator experience, streamlining processes, and contributing to the overall draw of study abroadAssisting with data management and analysis for business purposes, developing user training materials, maintaining technical documentation, managing user access to the software on campusProvide on-going support for Academic Programs Abroad to enhance their engagement with the software.Implement recommendations regarding the most effective and feasible business solutions based on nature and extent of user requirements.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in information technology, business/information systems or a related field with 2 years of experience

Specific Experience:

Two years of experience in information technology or a related field. Basic HTML coding knowledge and knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with Terra Dotta Software; experience working in international settings or living abroad.
