The Public Health Analyst IV provides support for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the National Center for Injury Prevention and Control (NCIPC) by working with the Division of Overdose Prevention (DOP). The analyst supports the planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of public health projects. This role works with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to deliver effective public health interventions. Duties Manage a portfolio note on all grant recipients that contains information regarding key personnel issues, capacity concerns, noncompliance, and major successes. Support the transition of new Project Officers. Disseminate information through written documents, emails, presentations, and by maintaining key relationships. Handle routine inquiries independently, providing complete, consistent, accurate, and timely advice and guidance. Coordinate and respond to GrantSolutions (e.g., Grants Management Module) actions in a timely manner. Keep supervisor and team members regularly informed of progress and problems encountered. Proactively identify problems or issues to management as needed, along with suggestions for resolution. Provide technical assistance to grant recipients. Collect and manage data related to project performance, ensuring data quality and integrity. Analyze research findings and make data-driven recommendations for improving project effectiveness. Qualifications Bachelors degree in public health, health administration, social sciences, or related fields with at least eight (8) years of experience. Strong understanding of project management principles, including planning, implementation, and evaluation. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly to diverse audiences. Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret public health data and use it to inform project decisions. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate challenges and develop solutions. Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining accuracy. Preferred Qualifications: Masters degree in a relevant field with up to six (6) years of experience. Experience supporting federal or state government agencies, particularly public-health-focused agencies such as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)
