Reporting directly to the CFO of Concord Label Group, the VP, FP&A will provide strategic financial guidance to drive informed decision-making, optimize financial performance, and support growth initiatives.
Candidate will provide financial and strategic support to labels, departments and senior management, serving as business advisor on various projects across the division. Candidate will oversee and develop financial models and strategic assessments to address key business issues, including evaluation of new business models, operational planning, and analysis of Concord Label Group’s new artist signings. This role requires a dynamic strategic thinker with exceptional business acumen, proven leadership skills and can quickly adapt to change in the music industry.
Responsibilities:
What you'll do:
Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities.
Oversee deal analysis for new artist signings, renegotiations, investments, and acquisitions to support Concord Label Group’s business objectives.
Manage and improve artist project P&L budget and reporting, update business model, financial system and accounting structure ensuring that it evolves alongside industry.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Operations, Business & Legal Affairs, and Label Services to guide financial operations on record release.
Assist in assessing potential M&A targets; conduct pre- and post-transaction M&A deal analysis and valuations.
Develop and execute financial strategies to support the long-term growth and profitability of the Frontline and Catalog label group.
Support Concord Label Group’s global target and budget process, including evaluating global music market forecasts by territory and accounting for financial impact of various operational events/decisions.
Manage and supervise FP&A team to ensure employees are providing label support on project budgets, forecast, reporting and analysis.
Qualifications:
What you’ll need:
Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting or Finance.
CPA or CFA equivalent strongly preferred.
Strong financial planning and analysis experience, including building complex models and creating board presentations.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage well through ambiguity and complexity.
Ability to execute and follow-through to completion and documentation.
Strong financial reporting experience and ability to present explanation of results.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to interact and coordinate activities with multiple people and departments.
Excellent attention to detail and problem resolution skills.
Ability to simultaneously work on multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Good judgement, particularly with respect to confidential matters.
5+ years Music Industry Experience a plus.
Salary Range: $130,000 - 170,000.
This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days minimum on-site.
