Position Type:

Full-time

Duties:

Lead the staff planning, coordination, and development of Battlefield Effects support.

Coordinate with appropriate warfighting function planners to synchronize effects plans.

During rotation, supervise and direct the Battlefield Effects Coordination Cell (BECC).

Manage the Battlefield Effects (BFE) replication and indirect fire marking support during all rotations through the BECC.

Plan and coordinate fire marker coverage with Fire Support Cell and OC/Ts.

Coordinate BFE replication with Fire Support Cell prior to implementation.

Manage staffing (to include contracted support) to support BFE tasks during training rotations.

Manage the onboarding and training of employees supporting the BFE task.

Additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications/Experience:

5+ years of experience in various field artillery roles at the Army or Marine Corps Brigade level and below.

3+ years of experience in a supervisory role and managing the training and risk management for military training exercises.

Experience conducting live exercises at the Brigade level and below or assignment at a Combat Training Center (CTC).

Experience synchronizing battlefield effects in support of military training exercises.

Experience with Army and Joint doctrine and training policy.

Experience using Microsoft Office tools, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Must have a current SECRET security clearance.

Bachelor’s Degree.

Preferred Qualifications/Experience:

Experience as a Fires Battalion Command Sergeant Major, Operations Sergeant, Operations Officer, or Fire Support Officer/NCO.

Experience in staff planning.

Completion of Joint Firepower Course or Joint Air Operations Command and Control Course.

Graduate of Sergeants’ Major Academy, Command and General Staff College (CGSC), Intermediate Level Education (ILE), or Military Education Level (MEL) 4.

Experience with managing fire markers.

Experience with risk mitigation.

Experience with certification or training on the following tasks:

Operating vehicles, ATVs, and/or snowmobiles.

Use of pyrotechnics, simulators, and training devices.

Performing appropriate level of maintenance on GFP.

Practicing fire prevention and suppression techniques.

Map reading and operating global positioning systems (GPS).

Communicating on tactical and non-tactical radios.

Travel:

Intermittent travel is required.

Compensation:

Salaried, plus relocation stipend and retention bonus; benefits-eligible.
