Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Neuro Intermediate Care (IMC) Job Duration: 8 weeks Shift: Rotating 4x12-Hour Shifts (Day: 07:00 - 19:00; Night: 19:00 - 07:00) Guaranteed Hours: 48 or 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum 2 years required, with at least one prior travel assignment License: Must have a valid state license. Pending licenses accepted with some flexibility. Certifications: Required - Basic Life Support (BLS); Preferred - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Must-Have: - Skills in Telemetry and Peripheral IV start - Weekend coverage every other weekend - Fully vaccinated for the flu with no exemptions - Flexibility to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity Job Description: - Provide direct nursing care to patients in the Neuro IMC unit - Maintain a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:4 - Demonstrate flexibility with rotating shifts, which may involve alternating between days and nights within the same week - Ensure adherence to safety protocols and maintain high-quality patient care standards - Participate in orientation for 28 hours with additional module training as needed - Engage in a supportive, short-term acute care, and teaching hospital environment - Dress code: Any color scrubs without other hospital logos - Utilize Cerner for patient charting and documentation Note: High flexibility and adaptability are essential due to potential changes in shift schedules
