Job Description:As an IT Workstation Specialist, you will be a member of the Workstation Support Team located in Central Office/Harrisburg. This team is responsible for supporting workstations, laptops, Macs, and all device peripherals (including print, docking, and scanning issues). You will maintain device compliance and health, tracking down PCs with broken SCCM clients, outdated updates, or reported application or operating system issues.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor incident queues for issues, take ownership, and assist customers as required.Keep all support tickets up to date and well documented.Provide documentation on issue resolution for other teams as needed.Monitor and report on PC issues, escalating them as necessary; collaborate with other teams, including SCCM, Active Directory, Security, and the IT Service Desk.
Required Skills, Experiences, Education, and Competencies:
Deploy PCs and provide support to end users in a large enterprise environment (1,000+ PCs).Develop, test, and maintain PC images.Experience supporting PCs in a large domain environment.Install and configure PC hardware and peripherals.Repair PCs by replacing hard drives, motherboards, memory, etc.Familiarity with security, disk encryption, and anti-virus products on Microsoft Windows PCs, laptops, and Apple OS X Macs.Knowledge of Active Directory and experience troubleshooting GPOs and name resolution.Experience managing profiles and certificates on Microsoft Windows PCs, laptops, and Apple OS X Macs.Support Microsoft Windows PCs, laptops, and Apple OS X Macs using remote tools (SCCM remote, RDP, ARD).Application support for MS Office 365 on Microsoft Windows PCs, laptops, and Apple OS X Macs.Experience integrating Macintosh systems into an Active Directory Domain environment.Proficiency in scripting with VBS and PowerShell.Experience with Configuration Management Console queries and reporting.Understanding of SCCM OSD Task Sequences, including their implementation, creation, and optimization.Experience using Microsoft Desktop Optimization Pack (MDOP) technologies and Microsoft Deployment Tool Kit (MDT).Microsoft Certification preferred.Strong communication skills to convey information clearly.Change-oriented mindset with the ability to improve processes and confront difficult situations creatively.Demonstrated customer focus and ability to build strong customer relationships.Effective information evaluation skills for making informed decisions.Strong problem-solving skills, capable of narrowing the scope of problems and eliminating irrelevant information.Team player who collaborates with others and remains open to alternative approaches.Interest in emerging technologies, demonstrated through training and attendance at technical events.
The hourly range for roles of this nature are $20.00 to $40.00/hr. Rates are heavily dependent on skills, experience, location, and industry.
