Your Role:As a senior leader in the Internal Communications team, the Internal Communications Corporate Services Team Leader will be responsible for leading and managing a global, dynamic team of communications professionals. Reporting to Invesco’s Global Head of Internal Communications, you will oversee strategic execution, helping to bring to life for employees Invesco’s brand and reputation as well as its strategic plan, purpose and deep sense of corporate responsibility. Providing direct support to the firm’s Global Head of Internal Communications and senior business leaders, you will work closely with the Executive Leadership Team to develop and execute communication plans that align with the company's strategy and business priorities. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in transformational program communications, content strategy development, and leading organizational change. This position requires a strategic thinker with excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
You will be responsible for:Strategic Communication Planning:
Develop and implement comprehensive internal communication strategies that support the company's strategy and priorities.
Collaborate with the Executive Leadership Team to ensure alignment of communication initiatives with business priorities.
Team Leadership and Management:
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of internal communications professionals.
Foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture.
Provide guidance and support to team members to ensure the successful execution of communication plans.
Transformational Program Communications:
Design and execute communication strategies for transformational programs and initiatives.
Ensure clear, consistent, and timely communication to all stakeholders during periods of change.
Measure and report on the effectiveness of communication efforts related to transformational programs.
Content Strategy:
Develop and oversee the creation of engaging and relevant content for various internal communication channels.
Ensure content is aligned with the company's brand, values, and strategic objectives.
Utilize data and feedback to continuously improve content strategy and delivery.
Organizational Change Leadership:
Lead communication efforts for organizational change initiatives, ensuring employees are informed, engaged, and supported.
Develop change communication plans that address the needs and concerns of different stakeholder groups.
Monitor and assess the impact of change communication efforts and adjust strategies as needed.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization.
Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders on internal communication matters, providing strategic and tactical advice.
Facilitate open and transparent communication between leadership and employees.
Measurement and Reporting:
Establish metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of internal communication strategies and initiatives.
Provide regular reports and insights to the Executive Leadership Team on communication performance and impact.
Use data-driven insights to inform and refine communication strategies.
The experience you bring:
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in internal communications, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
Proven experience in developing and executing strategic communication plans.
Experience working with C-level executives.
Strong understanding of transformational program communications and organizational change management.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and exceptional communications judgment.
Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a high-performing team.
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in using communication tools and platforms.
Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
High level of emotional intelligence and the ability to navigate complex organizational dynamics across multiple regions.
