Job Purpose (Job Summary):
We are seeking an experienced finance professional to provide executive level finance leadership, oversight and business partnership for our Technology and Operations organization. This role will serve as a critical partner to Invesco's Chief Information and Operating Officer and the Tech and Ops leadership team. This individual will lead a team of finance professionals based in Atlanta, Georgia. The role will report directly to the Global Head of Corporate Finance. Relocation assistance is available.
As Function Head of Finance, the role informs and influences key business decisions centering on strategic growth, cost and operating efficiency, financial modeling, and evaluation of new investments. As part of the Corporate Finance leadership team, this leader will work in an open, inclusive, and collaborative environment, alongside key stakeholders from across Invesco.
The Head of Finance role is a crucial position and highly visible across the firm, requiring an ability to develop and maintain strong working partnerships with Invesco's Executive Leadership Team and senior decision makers across the company while building and leading a high-performing finance team, and advising other stakeholders across Invesco.
This position performs a key role in providing financial, operating, and business insight to enable strategic decision making, planning, forecasting, and program execution across the global Technology and Operations organization. This leader is responsible for directing and managing all aspects of financial planning & analysis activities for these areas. Alongside Technology and Operations leadership, the Head of Finance is accountable for delivering financial and operating outcomes that meet Invesco's strategic and financial objectives.
Key Responsibilities / Duties:
Develop, direct, and maintain effective and efficient financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes. Including but not limited to:
Management reporting and analysis.Business and driver-based cost analyticsResource capacity tracking and analyticsKey performance metrics development, tracking, reporting, and insight.Ad-hoc business, transaction analysis and decision support.
Develop a consultative relationship with Senior Leaders in Technology and Operations and across functions.Lead long-range financial planning & modeling, annual budgeting process, and monthly forecasting process for the Technology and Operations functions.Support key decisions with forecast and analytical models to support recommended actions to drive efficiency, growth, and firm profitability.Jointly accountable with Technology and Operations senior leadership for delivering functional performance that meets Invesco's strategic and financial objectivesIdentify risks and opportunities and recommend strategies to achieve business and financial goals.Direct the hiring, training, development, and performance assessments of the Tech & Ops Finance team. Achieve high team engagement, motivation, and performance.Maintain a culture and program of continuous improvement - proactively identifying, and implementing, leading practices.Serve as the 'face of finance' to Technology and Operations, collaborating seamlessly with Finance experts from other as disciplines (e.g. accounting policy, tax, treasury, etc.) as requiredWork Experience / Knowledge:
At least 12 to 15+ years of related finance work experience, including leading and motivating a team.Prior experience in the financial services sector is highly preferred.Experience operating as a strategic finance partner to executive level business leaders with a successful track-record in improving and sustaining financial health of the business.Operational experience, including the ability to assess, improve, and redesign processes, develop strategic insights from profitability and other related analysis, and to utilize a performance improvement skillset.Relevant systems/technology experience, including the Oracle Financial product suite is a plusKnowledge of finance, US GAAP accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and cost-control principles.Prior experience working in a global matrix organization is preferredSkills / Other Personal Attributes Required:
Demonstrates exceptional analytical skills, coupled with strong data visualization skills to effectively communicate recommendations by presenting complex concepts/ideas in concise, easy-to-understand terms to senior leadership.Displays excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to influence at all levels throughout the business.Achieves excellence in execution through a clear understanding of business partners' needs and expectations.Demonstrates strong leadership with ability to motivate and develop a team of FP&A professionals.Identifies new opportunities to better serve business partners and appropriately plans and prioritizes time and resources to deliver superior results.Demonstrates collaboration and teamwork by openly sharing information, seeking feedback and input from others, and partnering to achieve results.Supports an environment of open communication and mutual respect.Champions innovation and leads effective change.Effectively makes fact-based decisions and solves problems by considering short term and longer term global impacts.Ensures that decision making reflects Invesco's principles, client interests, and business objectives.Demonstrates initiative and accountability.Formal Education:
Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related quantitative field is required.MBA or graduate degree preferred.License / Registration / Certification:
CFA, FP&A, Chartered Accountant/Certified Public Accountant (or similar accreditation) and/or public accounting experience is preferred.Full Time / Part Time
