St. John's Episcopal Hospital at South Shore is looking for an innovative and dynamic leader to join their New York team as the Chief Digital Information Officer!The PositionThe Chief Digital Information Officer plays a critical role in managing the technology infrastructure and systems that support the organization's clinical, financial, and administrative operations. The CIO oversees the strategic direction, implementation, and maintenance of information technology (IT) systems and ensures that they align with the organization's goals and regulatory requirements.The Chief Digital Information Officer will play a pivotal role in propelling the health system forward, ensuring operational stability and reliability in information technology, optimizing the value derived from supplier partnerships, fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making, and spearheading future technological innovations.Will provide executive sponsorship to upcoming and ongoing EMR upgrades and ensure that the EMR is being optimized and effectively leveraged.Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this leader will oversee a team of approximately 50 FTEs.Ideal candidates will embody dynamic leadership, possessing a strategic vision, and adeptness in cultivating relationships and collaborative work with leadership. Seeking an individual with a profound understanding of the nuanced dynamics within the department and the desire to support when urgency is required.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Healthcare Administration, or related field (Master's degree preferred).Extensive experience (8+ years) in healthcare IT leadership roles, with a proven track record of success in driving IT strategy and innovation. Prior CIO experience is required.Strong understanding of healthcare regulatory requirements, such as HIPAA, NIST, HITECH, and CMS regulations.Demonstrated experience in vendor management, contract negotiation, and budget management.Compensation RangeThe base salary range for this position is $250,000 to $275,000 annually. In addition, a leader may be eligible for other benefits, including but not limited to health insurance coverage, retirement benefits, and bonuses. The total compensation for the finalist selected for this role will be determined based on various factors, including but not limited to scope of role, level of experience, education, accomplishments, internal equity, budget, and subject to Fair Market Value evaluation. The base salary range listed above is a good faith determination of potential base compensation at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.
