High acuity of PCU and small amount of med surg Job Requirements 2 years of oncology experience preferred, but NOT REQUIRED Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS), ACLS & NIH Ratio: 1:4-5 Med Surg Telemetry Ratio: 1:3 PCU Required to float within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity. Previous travel experience preferred. Interpretation of dysrhythmias Use of rapid response teams Feeding tube care and management Accessing Ports Blood Product Administration Central line care/management Peripheral Line Care/Management PICC line management Starting IVs Heparin Protocols Manage Cardia drips- no titration PCA Titrate Cardiac drips Chest tubes-Emerson/Pleur-evac External CPAP/BIPAP High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC) Interpretation of ABGs Nasal Cannula Tracheostomy Management Schedule Information No set schedule, no set weekends, no block schedule. Facility determines the complete schedule, with the possibility of working every weekend. Must be flexible. Maximum 7 straight days off. 14-week contract required if taking 7 days off.
