Job Description

Be an ambassador for our exceptional offerings as Director of Event Sales & Services, where you will liaise between multiple departments to meet the needs – and exceed the expectations – of your clients.What you will be doing:Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging serviceDirect and manage all activity related to the Catering office, ensuring all service standards are followedResponsible for all catering, from booking to execution and conference services from the time a contract becomes definite to executionPrepare an annual budget for approval and administer that budget in a fiscally responsible mannerEstablish and maintain rapport with clients, prior to, during and post conference, exceeding their expectations and encouraging repeat businessConduct site inspections as requiredDevelop annual business plans for the department in conjunction with the Director of Sales & MarketingEnsure that function bookings, group resumes, and event contracts are prepared and distributed accurately and efficientlyEnsure meeting and function rooms are properly maintained at all times liaising with food and beverage outlets regarding reservations and flow of clientsWork closely with the Director of Sales & Marketing to prepare monthly forecastsBalance operational, administrative, and Colleague needsFollow departmental policies and proceduresFollow all safety policiesOther duties as assignedYour experience and skills include:Previous leadership experience within a similar role requiredComputer literate in Microsoft Windows applications requiredUniversity/College degree in a related discipline preferredExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal requiredStrong interpersonal and problem-solving abilitiesHighly responsible & reliableAbility to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all timesPhysical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):Frequent standing and walking throughout shiftOccasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, liftingOccasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs, and rampsVisa Requirements:Must have proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
