This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned tax professional who is passionate about managing tax operations and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws. The individual will be responsible for overseeing the preparation of complex tax returns for both individuals and businesses. Oversee and manage the preparation and review of federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, businesses, and other entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with tax laws and regulations.2. Conduct complex tax research and planning to minimize tax liabilities and optimize tax savings.3. Manage and mentor a team of tax professionals, fostering an environment of continuous learning and improvement.4. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to provide tax advisory services and resolve tax-related issues.5. Stay updated with the latest tax laws and regulations and ensure that the organization's tax policies and procedures are in compliance.6. Develop and implement tax strategies to improve efficiency and effectiveness of tax operations.7. Coordinate with external auditors and manage tax audits to ensure timely and successful completion.8. Prepare and present tax reports to senior management, providing insights into tax performance and implications.Qualifications:1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master’s degree in Taxation or a CPA certification is preferred.2. Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in tax management, with a strong focus on 1040 individual returns, complex tax return preparation, and tax planning for individuals and businesses.3. In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.4. Proven experience in managing tax operations and ensuring compliance with tax laws.5. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and mentor a team of tax professionals.6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex tax information.7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.8. Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.9. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines, while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.10.
