Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Medical Surgical/Telemetry - Solid Organ Transplant Unit Job Duration: 13 or 26 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30) Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: 2 years of prior Telemetry experience preferred; must have 2 years of experience in a large, urban hospital License: Pending license accepted, but if not in hand at submission, start date will be six weeks out Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH required Must-Have: - EPIC charting experience - 100% Nicotine-Free Job Description: - Provide medical surgical/telemetry and progressive care to adult pre and post liver, kidney, pancreas, and intestinal transplant patients, as well as intestinal rehabilitation patients.- Ratios are 1:5 for days and 1:6 for nights. Depending on staffing, night ratios can be 1:7 (this is rare).- Drips required on all floors.- First timers not accepted, except if the traveler has 2 years of experience at a Level I Academic Medical Center.- Will float within scope to meet facility needs.- Required to attend a mandatory charting class the Friday of orientation week.- Scrubs required: Steele gray with facility logo printed on the back.- Two weekends required in a four-week schedule period (Friday/Saturday for night shift).- Compliance document deadline is the Tuesday prior to start by 4 PM CST.- Travelers must go into labs within 48-72 hours from accepting the offer.- Two weeks of requested time off permitted; must be submitted with the application. Additional requests subject to manager discretion.
