Patient Access Representative (PAS): Minot Clinic
Job Summary:
The Patient Access Representative (PAS) will perform outpatient and inpatient registration functions. You will provide general information to hospital users, patients, and families, ensures that patients meet financial requirements or assist in payment plan, provide excellent patient focused customer service, communicate effectively to service delivery areas to maximize patient flow and customer service.

Customer Service/Information DeskUp-Front Collections/CashierEmergency Department RegistrationOutpatient RegistrationOutpatient Surgery and Special ProcedureInpatient & Observation RegistrationInsurance VerificationOther duties as assigned by supervisor or team lead.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Clear, effective communication skills with othersKnowledge of medical terminologyDetail orientationPrevious experience required in one or more of these settings:Customer Service SettingHospital or Clinic settingAbility to work cooperatively with people and to maintain an objective attitude.Ability to exercise tact and initiative.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent requiredA minimum of 1 year experience in healthcare or customer service setting is preferred with a work record that demonstrates:
Licenses/Certifications:

Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Prolonged periods of standing, bending and reaching.Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
