Physical Therapist
Position Description:
As a Physical Therapist at McKenzie Health, you will be responsible for evaluation, planning, directing, and administering physical therapy modalities of treatment as prescribed by a licensed physician.You will administer treatments and physical agents as prescribed by a referring physician to restore function and prevent disability following injury, disease or physical disability.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
None
Duties/Responsibilities:
Implement selected components of care and interventions in a technically competent manner.Instruct and counsel patients effectively in exercises.Identify patients needs and exhibit compassion, caring, and empathy to individual differences.Recommend options, courses of action or modifications in selected treatments ensuring patients progress, safety and comfort.Complete documentation to support the delivery of physical therapy services.Measure performance and report on patients medical recordAdhere to ethical and legal standards.Ensure continued competence and updated field knowledge activities.Excellent knowledge of physiology best practices and standardsHands on experience with therapeutic exercises, functional training, and physical modalities - spine experience preferred.Ability to communicate and instruct effectively.Health care administration and documentation skillsOther duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:
Must be a supportive team member, contribute to and be an example of teamwork.Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the public.Excellent customer service skills.Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Additional languages are preferred.Proficient computing skills, specifically healthcare related billing platforms, and MS Office Products.Subject to frequent interruptions.Ability to travel between outlying clinics (Williston, ND) and hospital.Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
Education/Experience:
Graduate of accredited college or university with a certificate in Physical Therapy with a minimum of Bachelor's degree, Masters preferred.Three (3) or more years of previous experience in all aspects of physical therapy preferred.Previous EHR (EPIC0 knowledge experience preferred.
Licenses/Certifications:
Current State Physical Therapy LicensureCurrent BLS certification.
