A well-established institution in the education sector is seeking a skilled Manager of Student Accounts and Loans to lead the student billing and loans department. This role oversees the financial operations related to student accounts, including billing, collections, and loan processing. The Manager of Student Accounts and Loans will supervise a small team, ensuring accuracy in billing, maintaining compliance, and providing support to students and families with sensitive billing matters. Key Responsibilities of the Manager of Student Accounts and Loans

  • Manage and direct all billing activities, collaborating with multiple college departments to ensure accuracy of student accounts.
  • Oversee loan processing for various federal and institutional loan programs, ensuring compliance and timely payment processing.
  • Resolve complex billing and account issues, handling sensitive situations with students and families to provide tailored solutions.
  • Produce and monitor monthly billing statements, manage collections, assess late fees, and initiate delinquency notifications as necessary.
  • Develop and administer alternative payment plans and support students with financial and account inquiries.
  • Maintain up-to-date office procedures and communications, including handbooks, web content, and printed literature.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in billing, collections, and team supervision.
  • Experience with PeopleSoft Campus Solutions and external financial service providers (preferred).
  • Exceptional analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with a positive approach to challenging situations.
