OVERVIEW OF THE ASSISTANT CONTROLLER ROLE:
- Oversee all aspects of financial planning, analysis, and reporting for two entities.
- Manage month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.
- Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with GAAP.
- Prepare and present financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses to senior management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic initiatives and business development opportunities.
- Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ASSISTANT CONTROLLER ROLE:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 5-10 years of progressive experience in financial management, with a focus on subsidiary or divisional accounting.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP principles, financial analysis techniques, and budgeting processes.
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Sage Intacct) and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
