Legal Collections Specialist

The Legal Collections Specialist manages delinquent accounts and legal collections processes. This includes communicating with debtors, preparing legal documents, and collaborating with attorneys on actions like lawsuits, liens, and garnishments. Compliance with collections law and customer service is essential.

• Manage accounts and execute collection strategies.
• Prepare and file legal documentation (lawsuits, liens, garnishments).
• Ensure compliance with federal/state regulations (FDCPA).
• Negotiate payment arrangements with debtors.
• Maintain records of collections efforts and legal actions.
• Provide litigation support and attend court as required.
• Generate reports and identify areas for improvement.

• High school diploma required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
• Surepoint software experience.
• 2-3 years in collections, ideally with legal exposure.
• Negotiation, strong communication, attention to detail, legal knowledge.

The Legal Collections role is fully onsite in Akron, OH with a salary range of $80,000 - $93,600 depending on experience.
