This position will be responsible for assisting with the maintenance of client/server software. Principle Duties and Responsibilities Evaluate operation and activities within assigned area of responsibility; stay abreast of new technologies, computer languages and system updates.The Application Support Analyst will support the following areas: Enrollment, Finance, Legal, Health, and Division of Public Safety.Design, develop, prepare, maintain, and implement various databases, custom applications, software solutions, and web-based applications.Recognize, evaluate, and resolve computer hardware/software problems and failures as they apply.Maintain, troubleshoot, and research desktop services in relation to all Health Department software and Indian Health Services software.Document and inform users of the availability of newly implemented features and modules.Prepare and review a variety of reports concerning the overall status of Health Software projects and work- in progress.Assist HIM Supervisor with data system daily backup, database configuration and report templates.Receive calls and assist users who call in to the help desk.Assist users in training on new software; determine custom application needs and requirements, or troubleshooting issues.Research hardware and software from various vendors; communicate specifications, usage, and needs to support department.Create, install, and uses technical procedures to extract and report data for various purposes.Install, maintain, and configure software, hardware, and other computer-related technologies such as Claimtrak, Eagles soft, RPMS, Evolve, and other vendor related software.Troubleshoot and perform repairs on computer devices, infrastructure equipment, and other network hardware.Prepare documentation to record maintenance and upgrades; report on department activities as needed.Perform other duties of a similar nature or level as requested by supervisor or director. Education, Certifications and Experience Required Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field, two (2) years of related computer support or Professional IT experience; or a combination of academic education, professional training or six (6) years of work experience, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of this position.ANDA+ Certification preferred;Experience in using RPMS and Claimtrak Systems preferred.Special Requirements:Must possess and maintain a valid Arizona Driver's License; This position will require the incumbent to work non-traditional hours, nights, and weekends; Must have a current Homeland Security Background Clearance or be able to obtain a Homeland Security Background Clearance within ninety (90) days of hire.
