13 weeks, 36 hours/wkShifts & Scheduling: 7-7 / 6-week scheduling done by a schedulerWeekend Requirements: Every otherHoliday Requirements: Will rotate with perm staffFloating Requirements: Can float to PCU or MedSurgUnit Specific Information
- Beds: 16- Ratios: 1:2, occasionally 1:3- Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Variety of ICU acuity patients- vented patients, BIS scoring, TTM, IABP (rarely)- Are RNs required to titrate drips? Yes- Common titratable &/or set rate drips: Vasopressors/inotropes, sedatives, heparin, octreotide, insulin- Is there a Charge Nurse on each shift? Does the charge nurse take an assignment?: Yes- Are there nurse aids/patient care techs on this unit? Ratios? Duties?: No- Hospitalist &/or Intensivist in house 24/7? In the ICU 24/7?: eICU support in 14 roomsAdditional Details
- Beds: 16- Ratios: 1:2, occasionally 1:3- Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Variety of ICU acuity patients- vented patients, BIS scoring, TTM, IABP (rarely)- Are RNs required to titrate drips? Yes- Common titratable &/or set rate drips: Vasopressors/inotropes, sedatives, heparin, octreotide, insulin- Is there a Charge Nurse on each shift? Does the charge nurse take an assignment?: Yes- Are there nurse aids/patient care techs on this unit? Ratios? Duties?: No- Hospitalist &/or Intensivist in house 24/7? In the ICU 24/7?: eICU support in 14 rooms- Scrub Color/Dress Code: Navy Blue- How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation?: Classroom orientation and then 2-12 hour shifts on the unitRadius Rule: 50 miles AND candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or DignityRTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13-week contract). Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submissions.
