You can get further details about the nature of this opening, and what is expected from applicants, by reading the below.Cost Accountant RoleDuties & Responsibilities:Reports into the Global FP&A ManagerSupport the organization’s endeavor maximize cash while optimizing uptime and improving KPIsKey contact for cost-related questions within the organization.Provide analysis and explanation of monthly operating and financial results.Support lean initiatives by sizing potential cost savings and ROI on related lean spend.Detail oriented member of finance organization.Work with Global FP&A Manager to build models and maintain reporting to support company goals and provide visibility into actionable information.Analyze cost of materials, labor and overhead and provide insights into potential efficiency improvement opportunities.Administers standard cost analysis and updates, working with Supply ChainEnhance utility of product line reporting and ensure required data is correctly collected and structured in QAD.Responsible for environment conducive to understanding product cost.Identify and implement operational and financial controls.Objectives & Tasks:Review and maintain standard costs. Identify and explain variances to standard cost.Review of Active Pricing cost set material costs.Maintenance of Active Pricing cost set labor costs.Complete other tasks assigned.Report data and process errors to Controller.Reconcile and amortize capitalized standard cost updates.Support monthly reporting.Your Goals:Drive accuracy of information relating to product line reporting.Support and exemplify company values.Provide visibility and understanding of costing information and key performance indicators to company personnel.Requirements:B.S. Degree in AccountingMinimum 2 years of experience in accounting, finance, or audit.Cost accounting or manufacturing accounting experience is preferred.Experience with an ERP SystemData Management experienceStrong Excel skills
