Cost AccountantRESPONSIBILITIES:
Analyze actual manufacturing costs and prepare periodic reports on variances by comparing standard costs to actual production costs and provide reports and observations to managementPrepare and analyze inventory valuations and manage physical inventory counts.Establish standard costs and update as appropriate; set up new raw material, packaging, WIP, and FG items.Create and maintain production formulas (BOMs), labor models, and monthly cost rolls/updates.Interface with operations team to define key metrics to help drive operational decisionsProvide cost analysis and support for strategic decision-making. Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparation of journal entries.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support inventory management and costing initiatives.Partner with operations and finance personnel across business lines to drive process improvements.Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.Ad hoc analysis and projects, as needed.Qualification s:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.3+ Years of Cost Accounting Experience OR Manufacturing industry exposureExperience with ERP systems; creating database queries preferred.Advanced Excel skills.
