Akima Systems Engineering (ASE) is seeking a Senior Academic Data Analyst with extensive experience collecting, analyzing, interpreting, and reporting on moderately large datasets. This role will be responsible for coordinating with branch chiefs to identify, collect, evaluate and accredit academic courseware for the Department of Defense (DoD). The ideal candidate will have demonstrated knowledge of educational theory and methodology with a special emphasis on program evaluation and survey construction and management, and strong organizational skills. Responsibilities

Perform data collection and analysis towards academic program evaluation, accreditation, and student learning assessment.

Prepare reports, synthesize large amounts of information, and write summaries.

Evaluate program standards to include design and development of data collection methods, tools, coordination of program activities, data collection, data analysis and data reporting.

Develop surveys and learning assessments, utilizing various techniques, to facilitate the collection and analysis of data to improve student learning outcomes, identify trends, provide feedback, make recommendations, and contribute towards improving program effectiveness.

Perform student learning assessments and surveys to include developing, identifying student learning outcomes, selecting, and developing techniques, collecting and analyzing data, and using results to make program and course improvements.

Support Program Branch Chief with coordination and facilitation of college credit recommendation and accreditation of Program through academic program analysis, evaluation, self-study, reports, meetings, and conferences.

Integrate program courseware and materials into Learning Management System (LMS).

Conduct academic research and apply results to improve curriculum, student learning satisfaction, and increase enrollment and graduation rates.

Qualifications

Secret Clearance.

Masters’ Degree in statistics, mathematics, or education, with minimum of 2 years’ work experience or Masters’ degree plus equivalent combination of education, training, and 3 years’ experience as a data analyst in an education or training system.

Expert in quantitative and qualitative methodologies, knowledge of the issues, best practices, current research, and innovations in evaluation and assessment in higher education.

Experience with US national and regional higher education accreditation review procedures and process (e.g., standards, planning, preparing self-studies, coordinating & supporting external review).

Excellent written and verbal communication skills for conveying technical information to non-technical audiences.

Proficiency using Microsoft Word and Excel, survey software, including experience creating charts and tables for presentations.

High level of accuracy and attention to detail in data analysis and reporting.

Expertise in using statistical software for data analysis.

High level of organizational skill and ability to act independently quickly, and efficiently.

Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret Clearance.

Desired Qualifications:

TS Clearance with SCI Eligibility

Military experience/familiarity.

Proficiency in statistical analysis, data mining, and data visualization techniques.

Knowledge of database management systems to retrieve and manipulate data.

Ability to create clear and compelling data visualizations.

Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to interpret complex data and draw meaningful conclusions.

Understanding of DoD academic institutions, educational systems, and student data management.
