Summary of the Job:
The Senior QA Automation Engineer role is responsible for testing software applications with a focus on quality and reliability. They are responsible for defining, implementing, and maintaining advanced automation solutions and strategies within their team. The Sr. Engineer will provide technical advice and direction to help team and practice to deliver effective automation solutions. They will work closely with their agile team and participate in agile ceremonies, contribute to developing acceptance criteria, create test cases and test scripts needed for successful execution of manual and automated functional tests. In addition, the role is responsible for ensuring that quality issues and defects are appropriately identified, documented, tracked, and resolved prior to release.This position is located in Omaha, NE and will be a hybrid-remote position with 1-2 days per week in the office.

Apply Quality Engineering principles throughout the Agile lifecycleLead and Drive 'Quality / Automation as a Team Mindset' within the teamExhibit domain knowledge and product expertise for supported applicationsDecompose stories/business requirements into test cases that clearly articulate test objectives, steps, and expected resultsEstimate, prioritize, plan, coordinate/perform and document results of test executionReport, track, and retest defects/bugs prior to releaseParticipate in and conduct regular test case peer reviews and automation code reviewsLead and collaborate with their delivery team to build automated testing into the CI/CD pipelineAnalyze and understand the current technology architecture, system interdependencies and application stacksLead by example in exhibiting initiative for self-learning of new technical skills and toolsDrive consistent improvement and knowledge sharing principles across the teamLead automation strategies/solutions and projects within team and across disciplineEvaluate and propose use of new tools for continuous improvement and driving automation strategies forwardExperience building, testing, deploying, monitoring, and maintaining effective test automation solutionsSetting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelinesSetting up and maintaining Automation FrameworksMentors' others in test automation, programming, and QA best practicesWorks independently researching, solving, and programming complex automation solutionsThe Ideal Candidate for This Role:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience and/or certifications5+ years experience using UI and/or API automation tools - examples: TestComplete, Selenium / Appium, Playwright, Cypress, Postman, Swagger, GitLab, Postman5+ years hands-on experience programming/scripting with JavaScript and/or Java
Additional scripting experience a plus: C#, PowerShell, SQL, XMLSalesforce / nCino automation preferred
5+ Experience executing all levels of testing (System, Integration, and Regression)5+ Experience in web, mobile, microservices, and database automation3+ Experience with Git as a version control system, in conjunction with solutions such as Bitbucket, GitHub or GitLabExperience setting up and maintaining automation frameworksExperience using CI/CD practicesExperience planning, developing, documenting, and maintaining a regression testing strategyWorking knowledge of Test-Driven and Behavior-Driven development along with STLC (Software Testing Life Cycle)Strong understanding of Agile QA methodologies, tools, and processesExcellent written and verbal communication skills with experience communicating complex informationKnowledge of MS Office: Work, Excel, PowerPoint, MS AccessCompensation:
Compensation range (base pay): $86,340.00-$142,460.00
Final compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon work experience, education, and/or skill level.
