Morgan Stanley Lead Java Developer - Vice President - Software Engineering Profile Description Division: ETS Location: 0 We’re seeking someone to join our team as a lead Java developer in the Firm Risk Management (FRM) Technology - Investment Management Risk to help implement solutions for complying with international regulatory frameworks, source or calculate risk measures, enforce risk governance and provide comprehensive reporting and disclosure capabilities. What you’ll do in the role:
As a Technologist of 10+ years you are expected to lead a software development squad. Design & develop innovative, reliable solutions using latest technology architecture. Collaborate and understand the needs and problems of our business lines. Take ownership of the technology platforms to drive the modernization and agile agenda. Analyze and discover data to implement strategic and tactical data sourcing. Lead a team of 2-3 developers. Qualifications
What you’ll bring to the role:
8 to 12 years of post-academic relevant work experience with Java. Experience developing distributed, performance-critical, highly available or large-scale systems. Experience working in Spring framework. Experience building real time applications in multithreading for a Unix/Linux platform. Experience with or exposure to development of UI using Angular or React, HTML, CSS, JavaScript. Experience working with Source Code Management solutions like Git, Stash, CVS. Proficiency with Enterprise level database (DB2 /Snowflake / NoSQL MongoDB) and SQL. Problem solving/Mathematical/Analytical skills. Experience in testing software (e.g. Unit testing, using frameworks, performance testing/tuning). Experience in debugging or performing issue diagnosis. Nice to have:
Experience using Python/Jupyter notebooks. Exposure to Investment management and Risk Management businesses.
