Risk Technology Firm Risk Management (FRM) Technology department is responsible for developing and overseeing the enterprise strategy and bespoke technology solutions to comply with international regulatory frameworks for calculating regulatory capital levels, enforcing risk governance, and providing comprehensive reporting and disclosure. The department is executing an ongoing program of work to extend the capabilities of the Firm Risk platform to meet both internal and external requirements. The clients include Risk Managers and Middle Office stake holders responsible for managing the Firm's Market, Credit, Operational and Liquidity risk. Technical Specialist This is a Vice President position within our Technical Specialist function, which is responsible for providing extensive subject matter expertise and reinforcing the ability of business and technology audit teams to appropriately assess risk and determine and execute coverage. Read on… What you’ll do in the role: • As a Technologist of 10+ years bring in your experience to Design, development and maintenance of suite of Risk Management Applications in an Agile/DevOps environment• Work with business analysts and users in driving system requirements, integration requirements and provide technical recommendations in an Agile -development environment• Unit testing, integration testing, and Deployment of Components/Applications to Production• Collaborate with other developers and offshore teams in completing project deliverables• Ensure overall quality of deliverables is consistent with high quality standards Qualifications What you’ll bring to the role: • Strong expertise in designing and developing Core Java/Spring based backend applications• Strong expertise 3+ years in JavaScript frameworks such as ExtJS/AngularJS• Strong expertise in data modeling, SQL.• Experience in NoSQL database such as MongoDB preferred.• Experienced with RESTful Web Services/SOA architectures• Experienced in utilizing standard design patterns• Strong technical analysis and problem solving skills• Experienced in automated testing using BDD and/or TDD• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering IB background & At least 4 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role What you can expect from Morgan Stanley We are committed to maintaining the first-class service and high standard of excellence that have defined Morgan Stanley for over 85 years.
