Rosie's Place was founded in 1974 as the first women's shelter in the United States. Our mission is to provide a safe and nurturing environment to help poor and homeless women maintain their dignity, seek opportunity and find security in their lives. Over the years, we have become much more than a shelter. We are a multi-service community center that not only provides meals and shelter but also creates answers for thousands of women a year through wide-ranging support, housing and education services. Rosie's Place relies on the generous support of individuals, foundations and corporations and does not accept any city, state or federal funding.OPPORTUNITYThe IT Operations Specialist will maintain and improve the technical systems of Rosie's Place to ensure all employees have the technology they need to complete their work, and the organization's files and information remain safe and intact. The IT Operations Specialist will troubleshoot any issues that occur and work one-on-one with staff to resolve these issues. Reporting to the Director of IT, this position plays a pivotal role in ensuring that Rosie's Place has the systems in place to provide high quality support to our employees. KEY RESPONSIBILITIESInstall, administer, and troubleshoot operating systemsSchedule, install, configure and test system software, and resolve technical problems. Monitor and maintain software licensing and maintenance agreements.Work closely with the Director of IT to evaluate new hardware. Install and configure new equipment such as laptops, PC's, printers, copiers, phones and any IT related equipment.Set up and configure desktop computers, peripherals and assign security levels Perform systems maintenance tasks such as maintaining internet connectivity, performing data back-up and recovery, and file maintenanceUtilize Azure administration to expand use of Teams, OneDrive, SharePointCoordinate Training Campaigns on Cybersecurity Training System Monitor completion of user trainings and report to respective managersMonitor and troubleshoot servers and network connections between Rosie's Place locationsMonitor the IT environment and cyber security alerts Maintain organization confidentiality and security of information systemsMonitor and respond to service requests made within the ticketing system Support end users, both on-premises and remote with day-to-day issuesPerform other duties and projects as assigned by Director of IT RequirementsThere are innumerable ways to learn, grow, and excel professionally. Rosie's Place offers a robust benefits package, including medical and dental insurance, 403(b) retirement plan, paid vacation, and more.WORK EXPECTATIONS AT ROSIE'S PLACEWe are a hands-on team and seek employees who are passionate about our work and service to our community. The IT Operations Specialist is expected to work onsite at Rosie's Place during their work week and engage regularly with staff, guests and volunteers. While this position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule, flexibility with days on-site is required to fulfill work obligations and to take part in organization meetings, trainings and events.
