Description

Rosie's Place was founded in 1974 as the first women's shelter in the United States. Our mission is to provide a safe and nurturing environment to help poor and homeless women maintain their dignity, seek opportunities and find security in their lives.

Over the years, we have become much more than a shelter. We are a multi-service community center that not only provides meals and shelter but also creates answers for thousands of women a year through wide-ranging support, housing and education services. Rosie's Place relies on the generous support of individuals, foundations and corporations and does not accept any city, state or federal funding.

The Opportunity:

Rosie's Place is seeking a talented and experienced Marketing Manager with a passion for human services to drive marketing initiatives as a member of our Communications team. This new position offers an exciting opportunity to add value to a mission-driven organization by directly supporting our public outreach efforts. The Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies to promote the mission, programs and fundraising efforts of Rosie's Place's. This role requires a creative and strategic thinker who can effectively engage our target audience and raise awareness about the issues facing poor and homeless women. The Marketing Manager reports directly to the Director of Communications and supervises the Communications Associate.

Key Responsibilities:

Execute annual marketing and communications strategy established by the Director of Communications to advance the mission of Rosie's PlaceCreate compelling and cohesive marketing materials that expand Rosie' Place's audience and increase awareness of our workDevelop and execute fundraising campaigns for but not limited to, International Women's Day, Giving Tuesday and program-specific appealsOversee assets and manage media partnerships for our annual Funny Women... Serious Business luncheon and Safe & Sound galaEnsure consistency of brand in all of Rosie's Place's promotional materialsLiaison with host of organizational partners to ensure brand consistencyCreate, maintain and order all of Rosie's Place's collateral materials used in both internal and external workManage all e-commerce including but not limited to the creation, promotion and sale of holiday cards and note cardsSecure in-kind donations from local media outletsSecure earned media placements for Rosie's PlaceManage all paid advertising for Rosie's PlaceWrite for print and digital pieces both long- and short-formMonitor and analyze the performance of marketing campaigns and adjust strategies as neededStay current with industry trends and best practices to continuously improve our marketing effortsOversee and provide guidance, mentorship and professional development to Communications AssociateManage the production of print and digital promotional materials for direct-service programsFoster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that promotes teamwork, innovation and excellencePerform additional tasks as assigned by the Director of CommunicationsRequirements

Work Expectations:We are a hands-on team and seek employees who are passionate about our work and service to our community. The Marketing Manager is a full-time, exempt position; the incumbent is expected to work on-site at Rosie's Place during their work week. While the Marketing Manager is eligible for a hybrid work schedule, they must work on-site at Rosie's Place during part of their work week and engage regularly with staff, guests, and volunteers. They are also expected to be flexible with their days on-site to take part in organizational events and other work obligations. This position may require travel between Rosie's Place facilities and community locations.

We continue to adapt to safety protocols related to COVID-19 as we understand them, and all employees must follow our safety protocols. Among these protocols, we require all employees to be up to date with their COVID vaccinations. Requests for medical or religious exemptions from the COVID vaccination are considered.

Compensation and Benefits:The starting salary range for this position is $75,000-$85,000 commensurate with experience.
