Rosie's Place

was founded in 1974 as the first women's shelter in the United States. Our mission is to provide a safe and nurturing environment to help poor and homeless women maintain their dignity, seek opportunities and find security in their lives.

Over the years, we have become much more than a shelter. We are a multi-service community center that not only provides meals and shelter but also creates answers for thousands of women a year through wide-ranging support, housing and education services. Rosie's Place relies on the generous support of individuals, foundations and corporations and does not accept any city, state or federal funding.

The Opportunity:

Rosie's Place is seeking a detail-oriented and innovative professional with a passion for human services to join our Communications team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to add value to a mission-driven organization by directly supporting our public outreach efforts. The Digital Communications Manager will be responsible for generating, managing and evaluating compelling content for our website, social media, direct mail and other channels that supports the varied communications needs of all departments and maintains a positive image of Rosie's Place across a wide-reaching audience. The Digital Communications Manager reports directly to the Director of Communications.

Key Responsibilities:Manage, analyze and optimize Rosie's Place's website, ensuring an up-to-date, content-driven, engaging and user-friendly siteManage, analyze and optimize Rosie's Place's social media strategy and presence on four or more channels-creating content to drive engagement and social conversationStay current with industry trends and best practices to continuously improve our digital communicationsManage design, production, sending and schedule of digital mailings for External Relations departmentsManage image library ensuring all assets are archived, organized and accessibleShoot and edit videos and photography for social media, website, campaigns, mail pieces and publicationsAssist Marketing Manager in keeping online holiday card and notecard inventory up to dateContribute to writing and editing projects as neededWork with staff, guests and community stakeholders to tell the stories of Rosie's Place in an engaging and effective mannerOther duties as assigned by Director of CommunicationsRequirements

Work Expectations:

We are a hands-on team and seek employees who are passionate about our work and service to our community. The Digital Communications Manager is a 40 hours/week, exempt position; the incumbent is expected to work on-site at Rosie's Place during their work week and engage regularly with staff, guests and volunteers. They are also expected to be flexible with their days on-site in order to take part in organizational events, photo opportunities, video shoots, and other work obligations. The position may require travel between facilities or community locations.

We continue to adapt to safety protocols related to COVID-19 as we understand them, and all employees must follow our safety protocols. Among these protocols, we require all employees to be up to date with their COVID vaccinations. Requests for medical or religious exemptions from the COVID vaccination are considered.

Compensation and Benefits:

The starting salary range for this position is $65,000-$75,000 commensurate with experience. Rosie's Place offers a robust benefits package, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k)) retirement plan, pension contributions, paid vacation and more.

To increase equity, and because we know that salary negotiations tend to have an unfair bias, we do not participate in salary negotiations outside of this stated starting salary range. We present the best offer possible commensurate with experience and relative to internal equity.
