Wine Club Manager & Marketing Specialist
Reininger Winery in Walla Walla, WA seeks a motivated and enthusiastic Wine Club Manager and Marketing Specialist. This onsite position will work closely with winery partners, tasting room teams, and outside vendors. This position is an integral role in a small and dynamic family team that exhibits an all hands-on-deck attitude and a focus on adapting processes to technological advancements and consumer trends. The successful candidate will possess an outgoing personality with strong telephone, written and customer service skills as well as computer/technical skills. You will be highly organized and enjoy interacting with people. A love of digital marketing and success in achieving sales goals is key. The ability to think quickly and adapt, lead meetings, collaborate with partners, and multi-task are also important attributes.
Wine Club Manager Responsibilities: Proficient with running a wine club, club allocations, logistics with Federal Express, UPS. Manage membership and customer database, ensuring accurate and prompt entry of member sign-ups, club changes, changes of address/credit card, tags, and key customer information, creating comprehensive customer profiles. Develop detailed member profiles and track data such as LTV, retention, AOV, geographic loci, preferences, etc. to identify sales opportunities. Leverage data insights, on-site experiences, and feedback to make informed decisions that optimize club offerings, promotions, and drive membership and decrease attrition. Must have sales skills, sales experience, and ability to upsell. Excellent writing and computer skills and proficient in Google Suite. Familiarity navigating DTC e-commerce platforms and reporting. Familiarity with email campaign and RedChirp software. Familiarity with state shipping laws and Ship Compliant platform. Manage wine club forecasting, club inventory and allocations, and plan shipments. Manage flawless execution of club shipments, from communication to processing, credit card decline follow-up, through fulfillment and successful delivery. Willing and able to physically oversee and, as needed, assist with packaging wine club and daily wine orders. Maintain compliance with direct shipping laws for each state, communicating updates to DTC team. Planning, executing, and attending on-site and off-site events for Wine Club. Occasional travel in the PNW is required.
Marketing Duties: Collaborate with DTC team to create branded automated emails as well as diversify revenue-generating targeted email campaigns. Develop strategies to improve open and conversion rates in emails to general mailing list subscribers and help execute strategy. Collaborate with winery partners to meet DTC sales goals. Collaborate with DTC Team to create strategy and revenue campaigns for text marketing using RedChirp. Collaborate on Website/webstore management and design. Provide marketing support to tasting room leads in local projects. Develop relations with Wine Club members, consumers, and other surrounding wineries. Oversee wine club phone concierge activities during, but not limited to, club campaigns. Develop strategy to increase social media and website traffic using organic and paid advertising. Collaborate with team to create and design content for blog posts, monthly newsletters, and videos. Collaborate with partners and outside vendors on brand graphics, label printing, event participation.
Qualifications: Must be 21 years of age and hold a valid driver's license. Must have a MAST permit and a Food Handler’s permit. Must be able to lift 45 lbs regularly, and stand for long periods of time. Flexibility to work occasional weekends (including holiday weekends) and occasional evenings. Experience with Social Media. Familiarity with web analytics. Familiarity with website design/maintenance, a plus if experienced in SiteCraft CMS. Familiarity with Klaviyo, MailChimp and/or Constant Contact. Experience using Adobe Suite. Experience in videography. Experience using Commerce7 is a plus. Must have Wine Industry and Administrative Experience.
