YOUR OPPORTUNITY

We have a Driver that operates a shag truck that is responsible for the movement of forty-eight and fifty-three-foot trailers at a pork processing facility shipping an average of one hundred thirty loads per day. Follows Company standard operating procedures for the maintenance, cleaning, and disinfection of all department equipment. Adheres to all Company food and workplace safety policies when operating equipment and handling trailers used for edible food products.

RESPONSIBILITIESPerforms routine temperature checks on yard trailers, taking action and reporting discrepancies.Coordinates the movement of trailers to shipping docks and yardsWorks schedules as assigned and overtime when requiredResponsible for trailer/shag truck maintenance, cleaning, and disinfectingPerforms other duties as assignedAssumes personal responsibility to ensure a safe and healthy workplace for everyone. Adhere to all safety policies and procedures and incorporate safety and health in all jobs and tasks.QUALIFICATIOHNS

Required:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent.Minimum age is 18 years oldMust be able to safely spot and back trailers into some very tight areas ensuring that no damage is done to equipment.Must be very cautious of pedestrians.Must have required knowledge and experience on operation of freezer units.Ability to work with minimal supervision.Ability to follow oral and written instructions.WORK ENVIRONMENT:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is commonly exposed to airborne particles and gases at low concentrations. The employee is frequently exposed to waste material, feed and hog dust.
