Global OT Solutions Architect - Erlanger, KY or Decatur, ILThis is an exempt level position.
Would consider placing this position in any large ADM manufacturing facility, but preferred locations include: Erlanger KY (near Cincinnati), Decatur IL. Other large ADM manufacturing locations are open for consideration.
Position Summary:As a key member of the Operational Technology (OT) team, you will be responsible for advancing the capabilities and performance of network infrastructure within the ADM OT/Process Automation (PA) environment.
You will work closely with OT engineers and PA engineers, and partner with key business segments, Global Technology (GT, which is ADM's IT dept.), and your global OT peers to provide enhanced plant support and high-quality project delivery.
Job Responsibilities:
Lead the definition of technology architecture roadmaps, standards, and reference architecture patternsLead or support cross-functional solution design efforts involving applications, cloud platforms, data and analytics, networks, and securityTake accountability for solution requirement definitions, conceptual, and high- and low-level design artifact generationSupport design reviewsLead reviews of solutions to audit against design requirementsHelp maintain a roadmap of technical architecture servicesDevelop expertise in areas of technical need (e.g., for emerging technologies in cloud)Support Digital team minimum viable product exercisesHelp maintain and develop technical standardsHelp develop cross-functional technical services, including DevOps pipelines, test automation, infrastructure as code, digital-self-serviceSupport vendor reviews, including vetting cloud and SaaS vendorsManage adherence to defined architecture standards throughout cloud and on prem development lifecyclesProvide subject matter expertise to design, develop, and implement complex architecture in alignment with Enterprise Architecture's direction and standardsMaintain knowledge of industry trends and utilize this knowledge to educate both IT and the business on opportunities to build better target architectures that support and drive business decisionsSupport IT Enterprise governance functions (RFI's, vendor risk assessments, etc...)Carry out continuous personal development, ensuring technical skills are kept up to date and non-technical skills are gained and improvedProvide boots on the ground support for ADM plants -emergency and break fix, planned installations, limited personal computer/end user support, etc.Some travel and on-call work are expected as part of this positionRequired Skills:
6+ years of IT experience is mandatory.3+ years of IT technical design experience across applications, data, cloud infrastructure, networks, IT sytems, and security2+ Years of solution technical design involving Microsoft Azure, including both high-level solution design, and detailed technical designAbility to generate high and low level solution design artifacts involving Azure cloud and on prem solutionsExperience conducting design reviews and architecture reviewsBroad understanding of modern integration architecturesSolid understanding of and ability to describe modern architecture design patternsSolid understanding of modern data and analytics design patternsSolid grasp of IT governance and controlsExperience with Azure and AWS infrastructure as a service (IaaS) / platform as a service (PaaS)Knowledge of continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) toolsStrong interpersonal collaboration skills and ability to work across technology domainsStrong verbal skills and ability to communicate both upward and downExcellent technical design skillsExperience in supporting plant operations and 24/7 operating requirementsPreferred Skills:
