Enterprise Digital Architect - Erlanger, KY
The Enterprise Digital Technical Architect will support the design and development of digital solutions involving applications, data, advanced analytics, AI/ML, AI, security, networks and cloud services. This individual will be part of ADM’s EA and Technical Architecture team, and coordinate with the Senior Digital Architect. He or she will also be dotted-line to and embedded in ADM’s Digital Team supporting the architecture development for Digital MVPs. This is technical role. The ideal candidate will be versed in Azure-based Technical Architecture design, methods of data management and cleansing using Python and other tools, principles of networking and security, modern GenAI solutions. The role also requires an ability to perform hands-on solution engineering. This is not a Data Science role, but rather a technical position in support of Data and AI Scientists.
This is an Architect-level position and requires significant technical expertise, strong communication skills, and ability to collaborate both upward and downward across the enterprise in a fast-paced environment.
Job Responsibilities
Lead technical architecture solution design efforts for digital applications, cloud platforms, data and analytics, networks, and security
Lead or support the development of reusable cross-functional technical services, including hands-on pilots and proof-of-concept exercises
Support hands-on effort in terms of programming, data management, and solution deployment
Take accountability for high and low Level design artifact generation
Support design reviews
Lead reviews of solutions to audit against design requirements
Develop expertise in areas of technical need (e.g., for emerging technologies)
Support Digital MVP projects
Help maintain and develop technical standards
Help develop cross-functional technical services, including DevOps pipelines, test automation, infrastructure as code, digital-self-service
Support vendor reviews, including vetting cloud and SaaS vendors
Job Requirements
5 years of IT experience
5 years of IT technical design and implementation experience overall (either exclusively or across applications, data, cloud infrastructure, networks, or security)
2 years of technical solution design involving Microsoft Azure, including both high-level solution design (e.g., Azure reference stencils), and detailed technical design (component technical details)
Environment Automation: Skills in at least one among: Bicep, Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet
1 “associate” level certifications in Azure among the following: Cloud Architect, Security Architect, Data Architect, Application Architect, Analytics Architect, Azure AI Engineer
Azure AI Engineer certification preferred
Ability to create high and low level technical designs
1+ years experience with Python
Familiarity with R
Experience conducting design reviews and architecture reviews
Experience with cloud network architecture
Experience cloud security architecture and identity management
Knowledge of cloud data platforms and services
Solid understanding modern application architecture design patterns
Solid understanding of modern data and analytics design patterns
Solid grasp of IT governance and controls
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
Experience with DevOps tooling and CI/CD automation
Experience with Java Scripting or other script-based tools
Experience with Microsoft development platforms
Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code
Knowledge of Mobile development platforms
Knowledge of Microsoft Data and Analytics platforms
Experience with at least 1 major ERP package
Knowledge of automation platforms
Knowledge of serverless platforms
Strong interpersonal collaboration skills and ability to work across technology domains
Strong verbal skills and ability to communicate both upward and down
Excellent technical design skills
