GT Sr DevOps Developer - Erlanger, KY

The Global Technology DevOps Engineer Development role is responsible for maintaining, enhancing/improving, implementing, and supporting the DevOps organizations. You will be supporting the teams using Microsoft Azure DevOps while providing guidance on best practices, standards and policies. The focus of this position will revolve around Work Management, Source Code Management, and Pipeline Management in working with customers throughout the company, primarily involving Microsoft Azure DevOps Services/Server and GitHub platforms and products.

Job Responsibilities

Administratively maintain and support DevOps systems with minimal supervision

Embed with less knowledgeable end user teams to improve or reconcile their utilization of DevOps systems and practices

Create DevOps related documentation or training for others to utilize

Review and approve YAML code

Mentor and coach other team members

Provide status updates for completing stakeholder status reports

Create/Update automation processes/scripts

Administer DevOps related licensing

Work with Architectural resources in the creation or improvement of DevOps practices, patterns, and standards.

Complete tasks within specified deadlines

Understand the portfolio of opportunity and how we can successfully move the organization forward strategically

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Information Systems, Systems Engineering, or a related field, plus 2-4 years of experience with Microsoft Application development or a related occupation in DevOps Development.

Must Have The Following Professional Skills/experience

2-4 years of experience as a Developer using DevOps practices

2-4 years of experience as a Developer using DevOps Systems

2-4 years of experience working with Build and Release automation

2-4 years of experience working with GIT repositories

2-4 years of experience in application analysis, design and n-tiered architectural patterns

1-3 years of experience in administration of DevOps Systems

1-3 years of experience using PowerShell, or an equivalent scripting language

1-3 years of experience working with Agile and CMMI methodologies

1-3 years of experience in Cloud Based Technologies and platforms

Extensive keyboard operations

Sitting for extended periods of time

Some travel required (up to 10%)

Perform on call duties

Work occasional weekends, holidays and overtime

4 Year degree in IT related field or equivalent competency
