Description

Bollinger Motors is seeking an Onsite Support Engineer II to provide technical support on-site and offer solutions that meet the needs of other Bollinger Motors employees. This position will include diagnosing and solving complex technical issues, conducting root cause analysis to prevent future problems, and maintenance of our computer system and networks. This position reports to the IT Manager. This is an in-person role at the company's Oak Park, MI headquarters.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Communicate expectations, status, and progress of assigned tasks and requestsReal-time tracking of work performed in company ticketing systemPhysically install workstations, network equipment, servers, phones, monitors, mounts, and other IT equipmentPerform field and remote service calls as assignedHandle escalated troubleshooting for network, database, and server-related issues.Provide after-hours support for urgent technical issues.Demonstrate strong problem-solving capabilities in managing technical challenges.Travel to support different locations will be required as needed to support the business.Requirements

8+ years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education in the technology field required.Certifications in A+, Server and Dell/Lenovo/HP Brake fix preferred but not required.Network UnderstandingAdvanced understanding of managing Windows Server, including Domain Server roles and Group Policy.Basic networking understanding, including DNS, DHCP, IP addressing and routing.Familiarity with managing Cloud and virtual environments.Familiarity with installing and managing SSL Certificates.Ability to recover or rebuild client site systems, and applications (reverse engineer).Occasional travel offsite / to customer sites.Read, write, and understand technical manuals, procedural documentation, and original equipment manufacturer guides.Participate in periodic technical meetings.Five years of field support experience. (Preferably with a Managed Service Provider)Three years of network design, build & troubleshooting with firewalls, switches, and routers and Microsoft server products.Experience with Azure and Microsoft 365 products.Current certifications such as Microsoft Azure Certifications, Microsoft 365Microsoft Server 2012 or higher experienceMicrosoft Domain Server Roles experienceMicrosoft Office Suite / Office 365 / Microsoft 365 experienceMicrosoft SQL experience
