Under general supervision, the Assistant to the Vice Chancellor will conduct research and analysis on high-level reports and data, apply organizational policies to address administrative issues, manage the Vice Chancellor's calendar, coordinate meetings, and handle travel arrangements. Required Qualifications: Proficient in communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and flexibly. Strong organization and planning skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and related software. Preferred Qualifications: Ability to interpret local and system-wide policies. Exceptional customer service skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Special Conditions of Employment: Satisfactory criminal history background check. UCSB is a Tobacco-Free environment. Job Functions/Percentage of Time/Duties: Analytical Support - 45 percent:
Provides key analytical support, researches, analyzes, and organizes data, applies policies to ongoing administrative issues. Administrative Support - 45 percent:
Serves as a high-level contact for sensitive issues, interacts with diverse clientele, oversees confidential correspondence, and manages calendars. Special Tasks - 10 percent:
In the absence of the Executive Assistant, provides direct support and assumes overall responsibility for the VCAD administrative office. UC Vaccination Programs Policy:
