About This Opportunity: We are currently seeking a hybrid GIS Analyst to join our team in the greater Pittsburgh, PA, region . As a GIS Analyst , you will play a key role within our GIS Department, demonstrating a strong working knowledge of GIS processes and workflows. Our ideal candidate will work independently to generate high-quality map deliverables, develop and maintain GIS applications, automate workflows using Python scripting, perform advanced GIS analysis, and serve as a mentor to other team members. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Custom GIS Deliverables: Create and deliver GIS data products tailored to client, industry, and agency standards, ensuring data integrity and quality. Web App Development: Develop and maintain ArcGIS Online web applications (e.g., Survey123, Field Maps, Story Maps, Dashboards) for efficient and user-friendly solutions. Field Data Integration: Support mobile GIS data collection for field crews, verify data accuracy, and integrate into central databases. Geodatabase Management: Design, build, and maintain geodatabases with rigorous QA/QC processes for continuous updates and improvements. Automation & Scripting: Use Model Builder and Python scripting to automate workflows and improve efficiency. Spatial Analysis: Conduct spatial and statistical analyses to inform decisions on data aggregation, routing, modeling, and assessments. Team Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to maximize GIS data impact across disciplines. Internal Support: Contribute to internal GIS projects, enhancing workflows and data management with custom GIS solutions. Innovation: Propose improvements to GIS workflows, standards, and practices, staying at the forefront of geospatial technology. Requirements Required Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education & Experience: Bachelor's in GIS, Geography, or related field with 3-5 years in GIS analysis, data management, or similar roles. Technical Proficiency: Skilled in Esri GIS tools (ArcGIS Pro, ArcMap, ArcGIS Online, Spatial/3D Analyst extensions), Microsoft Office, AutoCAD; knowledge of Python and spatial analysis is a plus. Quality Assurance: Experience in QA/QC for data accuracy and standards compliance. Geospatial Knowledge: Strong grasp of GIS concepts, including coordinate systems, georeferencing, and data management. Communication Skills: Excellent writing for workflow documentation, client reports, and training materials. Professional Growth: Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and eager to develop within the GIS field; GISP certification preferred. Organizational Skills: Effective task management and team mentorship abilities.
