We are seeking a well-rounded, concept-driven Project Architect or Architectural Designer with 5+ years of post-graduate experience to join our interdisciplinary practice. You’ll be an integral team member working on various project typologies spanning housing, mixed-use, creative workplaces, K-12, higher education, cultural & civic, sustainable districts, neighborhoods and campuses. Our teams are structured to welcome ideas, reward collaboration and enable constant professional growth.

We currently collaborate in the office Monday through Thursday. Fridays can be in-office or WFH for most roles.

Role & Responsibilities

Explore and develop quality design ideas and innovative, thoughtful solutions that address project goals aligned with Mithun’s values and approach.

Generate high-quality design drawings, graphic design work, renderings and visualizations to support design projects and marketing pursuits.

Produce detailed architectural documentation, including plans, sections, elevations, and details, ensuring compliance with building codes and regulations.

Participate in team meetings, both internal and external, providing insights and ideas to contribute to project development.

Work collaboratively with designers, architects, interior designers, landscape architects, and urban designers to support multiple projects in a variety of design phases.

Work effectively as both a team member and independently.

Requirements

A bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture.

A minimum of 5+ years of post-graduate professional experience.

Demonstrated strong concept-based approach to design.

Excellent graphic communication abilities (hand and digital).

Enthusiasm for sustainable and innovative design solutions.

Familiarity with building codes, regulations, and construction methods.

Experience in production of sets in multiple phases of design, including Design Development and Construction Documents.

Proficient in Revit and the Adobe Creative Suite.

Nice-to-haves (but not required)

Previous experience with multi-family housing, student living and/or mixed-use projects.

Experience with a variety of tools/applications, such as Lumion, Enscape, Unreal/Twinmotion, Grasshopper, Rhino, SketchUp and GIS.

Ability to lead Revit model development.

Architectural registration is a plus.

We offer eight paid holidays, vacation accrual of two weeks per year, sick time accrual, and paid volunteer time. Flexible Spending Accounts or Health Savings Accounts are available based on eligibility requirements. The expected range of compensation for this role is $82,000 – 100,000 per year. Actual salaries are based on experience, qualifications, internal equity and location.
