For Project Architects:Day to Day Responsibilities

• Manage projects to meet budget, scheduling, project scope, and quality objectives

• Responsible for finished plans, specifications, and material approval within project scope, schedule, and budget

• Plan, coordinate, and assist Project Manager on multiple concurrent projects in various stages of development

• Organize and coordinate project construction document sets

• Perform code research and analysis of local, state, and federal codes to ensure code compliance

• Ensure constructability and implement architectural standards of practice

• Client and consultant coordination to oversee accurate and timely completion of construction documents

• Participate in all aspects of construction administration (in office and on site)

• Conduct, or assist with, in-house training, as well as mentor Designers

• May supervise a small staff of Architects and Designers

What we look for

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Architecture from an accredited university

• Experience with multi-family and mixed-used projects preferred

• Minimum five (5) years of professional experience

• Professional Licensure required | NC Architectural Registration preferred

• Proficiency in 3D modeling, visualization, and graphic software

• Revit experience is required

• Experience in managing client/consultant relationships

• Demonstrated skills in project design, production and coordination of construction documents, and contract administration

• Effective verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to interact positively with others to solve problems, and to constructively communicate those solutions to others

• Ability to prioritize tasks, handle multiple deadlines, and perform responsibilities effectively and on time with a high degree of accuracy

• Ability to work well both independently, and as a part of a team

For Project Managers:Day to Day Responsibilities

• Prepare strategic plans

• Estimate fees; determine scope of work; and prepare proposals and contracts on large and/or complex projects

• Serve as client liaison with the primary responsibility for budgeting, scheduling, ensuring the responsiveness of design solutions, and growing the client relationship

• Actively manage budgets, schedules, programs, and team assignments as well as project communications, documentation, and associated administrative tasks

• Responsible for project’s financial success

• Provide oversight and monitoring as needed of less experienced Project Managers

• May be the Team Leader or act in the capacity of the Team Leader

• Oversee/mentor a staff of Architects and Designers

• Assist with marketing and business development

For Architectural Designers:Day to Day Responsibilities

• Work under close supervision to assist team members with redlines on CDs

• Review general submittals under supervision

• Prepare basic renderings

• Maintain compliance with project, technical, and administrative standards using Cline’s prescribed methods

• Identify career path (by understanding licensing requirements; establishing an NCARB folder and recording AXP hours; and establishing a timeline for taking the ARE exams)

What we look for

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Architecture from an accredited university

• 3-5 years of experience

• Experience with multi-family and mixed-used projects a plus

• Proficiency in 3D modeling, visualization, and graphic software

• Revit experience is required

• On track to pursue NCARB AXP & Licensure

• Excellent communication, written, and presentation skills

• Able to work well in a collaborative office environment

• Ability to handle multiple tasks, deadlines, and interact effectively with others in the workplace
