Our primary passion is for mixed-use market rate and affordable housing projects, and we have several exciting large-scale and high-rise projects under development. We are seeking an Intermediate Designer with 5-8 years of experience who brings strong design, graphic, and technical skills to our team.We are looking for a highly motivated, detail-oriented individual with strong communication and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate can work collaboratively within a team setting, contribute to the design and production of early concept packages and manage fast-paced deadlines while integrating internal, client and city feedback.
We promote a collaborative work environment that encourages involvement in various aspects of a project. Our aim is to cultivate a well-rounded office that provides diverse experiences for our team members.We offer the ability to work a hybrid schedule, but all candidates must be able to work in the office on a weekly basis for in-person meetings and design collaboration with the principal and team members.Role Responsibilities:Conceptualize and organize project design ideas and information based on preliminary concepts, sketches and other data, to produce designs, working drawings, schedules and details.Assist with and/or develop project goals and plan layouts.Perform product research; assist project designers with material selection and system research.Participate in team meetings to discuss project issues, design and technical issues as well as coordinate with other disciplines.Aid in the production of drawings and renderings for entitlement approvals and design review board submittals.Participate in drawing reviews for compliance with multiple jurisdictions, codes, standards, and regulations.Qualifications:
Professional degree in Architecture.Minimum of 5 years of post-graduate experience working in architecture.Experience working on multi-family residential projects a plus.Licensed or on path to licensure required.
Strong design and technical skills with a passion for urban design and creative housing solutions.Experience producing drawings for entitlement approvals.Working knowledge of type I, type III, and type V construction.Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines and maintain high-quality work.Strong understanding of the building code and accessibility requirements.Skills in applying industry standards and graphic conventions to the organization and arrangement of information (i.e. plans, elevations, sections, etc.)
Proficiency in Revit, Enscape, Twinmotion, Rhino and Adobe Creative Suite.
