Position Overview:

The Head of HR at Blackrock Neurotech will lead the overall strategic direction of the HR function. This role involves partnering with internal client groups in strategic business planning, organization design, change management, workforce planning, and delivering exceptional employee experiences. The ideal candidate will have a background in operations, people operations, or human resources, with a preference for experience in STEM, medical devices, or biotech industries.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Experience: Minimum 4 years of experience in operations, people operations, or human resources. Experience in STEM, medical devices, or biotech industries is preferred.

Certification: SPHR or SHRM-SCP preferred.

Skills: Experience with HR systems (Rippling preferred) or software implementation. Strong organizational and project management skills. Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic HR Leadership:

Strategic Improvement: Identify and implement strategic improvements to the HR department, including process improvement, resource planning, training, and prioritizing key initiatives.

HR Strategy: Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with the company's business objectives, focusing on recruiting, retention, and HR operations.

Employee Experience:

Employee Engagement: Provide oversight in benefit and retirement planning, compensation, performance management, and employee engagement.

Develop and implement strategies to increase innovative thought, teamwork, and merit-based career pathing within the organization, ensuring an engaging workplace.

HR Operations:

Systems Implementation: Manage systems or software implementation, specifically HRIS or employee lifecycle systems (e.g., onboarding, offboarding).

Policy Development: Create and update HR policies, procedures, and guidelines as needed. Ensure compliance with legal standards and industry best practices.

Coaching and Support:

Employee Relations: Participate in coaching, counseling, and advising management and staff to resolve employment-related matters effectively.

Talent Management: Implement new and enhance existing staff recognition and rewards programs. Participate in interview processes, including new hires and exit interviews.

Metrics and Reporting:

HR Metrics: Prepare and analyze HR metrics, providing reports that support decision-making in specified areas. Use data to inform HR strategies and improvements.

Industry Engagement:

Professional Development: Keep abreast of industry knowledge and trends by participating in conferences and educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining professional networks, and participating in professional organizations.

Internal Collaboration:

Liaison: Function as the primary liaison to internal committees and working groups, ensuring effective communication and collaboration across the organization.
